An event for U of M Club of Greater Detroit Alum and their families. We will have the opportunity to visit the grounds of Cranbrook for two events: the Organization for Bat Conservation’s (OBC) Bat Zone and a Cranbrook House Tour. You can choose to come to one event or both events. Each tour is limited to 30 people.

So please click the REGISTER NOW button to sign up for this event by 5/9/14 so that we can obtain an accurate number for the venue.

BatZone - We will be visiting the Organization for Bat Conservation (OBC), which is an environmental education nonprofit and wildlife sanctuary specializing in bats and other nocturnal animals. The OBC operates the Bat Zone, a separate building behind the main Cranbrook Institute of Science building, home to more than 150 bats and other animals. In this one-hour event, representatives from the OBC will provide a live animal program as we walk through the building. Children of all ages are welcome. For more information on the Bat Zone, go to the link http://science.cranbrook.edu/explore-institute/bat-zone
Price: $5.00 per person (pay directly to Cranbrook)

*Note that admission to Cranbrook Institute of Science is not included but can be purchased separately for those who want to tour the building before/after the event

Cranbrook House - As the oldest manor home in southeastern Michigan, Cranbrook House offers a distinctive glimpse into a time when décor, artistry and nature merged. The surrounding gardens, tended by hundreds of volunteers throughout the year, are filled with colorful scented blooms and a tapestry of greenery, side by side with exquisite fountains, sculptures, shaded dells and mossy bogs. Children 10 years of age and up would enjoy the tour. For more information on Cranbrook House go to http://housegardens.cranbrook.edu/house-gardens
Price: $13.00 per person (pay to the U of M Club of Greater Detroit by clicking the REGISTER NOW button)
